Meet the Team: Fiona

In our Meet the Team series, we’ll find out a bit more about the people involved in producing Lochlea single malt whisky.

Today we’re talking to Fiona Caldwell, our Finance and Customer Services Assistant.

What does your job involve?

I’m the glue that keeps the rest of the team together! I help crunch the numbers and answer customer questions, whilst supporting the team with a variety of other tasks.

What’s your connection with Lochlea Farm?

I’ve always stayed locally to Lochlea. My friend Julie and I used to come to Lochlea for play dates when we were younger and when Neil and Jen moved here, my dad started getting involved as Ploughman on the farm. It was the highlight of his year and he loved it so much. Laterally, I’ve been really lucky to get a job here myself, working with a lovely crowd of people who are just amazing.

What’s your favourite chocolate?

I love all chocolate. It’s probably my downfall! I do love Strawberry Creams from Quality Street.

Which 2 members of the Lochlea team would you watch in a boxing match?

My answer stems from the Christmas night out, where Bryce and Kate were going to have a pool/snooker challenge. This didn’t end up happening, so maybe they can get their boxing gloves on instead!

If you had to take your driving test again, which part would you fail?

Well, my daughter is currently learning to drive and we got her a Highway Code for Christmas, and she’s now asking me questions which I’m struggling with, so probably the theory part!
