Sowing Edition (First Crop)

Matured in 100% ex-Bourbon barrels, this release is inspired by the season of spring on the farm, when the seed is sown for the year’s barley crop.

The vibrant green label was chosen to reflect the reflect the season of growth and the fresh, enticing fruit notes in this whisky.

Details: 48% ABV / 700ml
Nose: Green apple skins, pear drops, custard creams
Palate: Vanilla, hazelnuts, orchard fruits
Finish: Fruity, sweet, a lasting viscosity

Harvest Edition (First Crop)

Matured in Port, Oloroso Sherry & Bourbon casks, and inspired by the end of summer, when our golden barley is ready to be harvested and used for the next year’s production.

We chose a coral red label to reflect the beautiful Ayrshire sunsets we experience on the farm.

Nose: Stewed apples, pear drops, oat biscuits
Palate: Strawberries, violet, toasted marshmallows
Finish: Signature Lochlea cereal, freshly cut grass

Fallow Edition (First Crop)

Matured solely in 100% ex-Oloroso Sherry butts, this release reflects the season of autumn on the farm when the fields are left fallow to rest after a busy harvest.

A rich purple label reflects the crisp leaves that cover the ground as temperatures begin to fall.

Nose: Ripe red fruits, freshly baked banana loaf
Palate: Dried fruit, leathery notes, malt biscuits
Finish: Medium length, aniseed, floral rose petals

Ploughing Edition (First Crop)

Our first peated expression, matured in ex-Islay barrels and peated quarter casks, is inspired by winter on the farm, when we plough the fields in preparation for spring.

We have created a warming, smoky version of our signature Lochlea whisky, with an icy blue label that reflects our cold and frosty Ayrshire winters.

Nose: Baked fruit, light peat smoke
Palate: Old fashioned boiled sweets, cooked apple, brazil nuts
Finish: Lingering fruit, a haze of Islay peat smoke
