Introducing Harvest Edition (Third Crop)

We’re delighted to introduce our third and final Harvest Edition, double matured in re-fill Bourbon barrels and Port hogsheads, alongside a single Oloroso Sherry butt. Sitting at 46% ABV, this third and final Crop is another year older, offering a different take on the sweet and summery flavour profile typically associated with our Harvest series.

On the nose, indulge in notes of strawberry jam and clotted cream, giving way to freshly baked apple pie and white chocolate on the palate. The finish is beautifully balanced with a hint of cracked black pepper.

Our Harvest Edition whiskies are inspired by the annual barley harvest that takes place on Lochlea Farm. Each year our farmland is sown with Laureate barley seed, which is eventually used to produce our single malt whisky.

It’s been a soggy summer and we’re anxiously checking the weather forecast every few days to find a small window of sunshine to allow us to harvest our 2024 crop. The ground is extremely waterlogged and unfortunately we can’t get the combine onto the fields until the soil dries up. It’s a rather daunting thought that our 2025 production is dependent on the barley currently waiting to be harvested, but that’s the reality of being a farm distillery! Luckily, the forecast looks warm and dry over the next week, so it’ll be all systems go to get our barley into the grain shed.
