Lochlea Single Estate Range: Orchard & Oak, Dark Briar and Smoke Without Fire

We’re proud to unveil the Lochlea Single Estate Range – a bold new expression of our commitment to provenance, craftsmanship, and innovation.

Grown, distilled and matured entirely on our Ayrshire farm, this range showcases the true character of our land and the people who shape it. Each bottle is a testament to our single estate philosophy: from barley to barrel, every step is rooted in Lochlea.

We’re excited to introduce three new expressions that join Our Barley to complete the Lochlea Single Estate Range.  A celebration of our farm’s unique character and the craftsmanship behind every drop.

Each expression in our new Single Estate Range is crafted using the same estate-grown barley, creating a collection deeply rooted in the land that surrounds our distillery.

Single Estate Range

Orchard & Oak

A bright, fruit-forward single malt and a proud new addition to Lochlea’s core range. Matured in a combination of first-fill Bourbon, Virgin American Oak, and Calvados casks, it delivers vibrant notes of fresh apple, buttery caramel, and sweet oak, with a soft, grassy freshness and a smooth, spiced finish.

Dark Briar

A bold and indulgent addition to Lochlea’s new core range. Inspired by our Fallow Edition, this rich single malt is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso sherry butts, and Port casks, delivering layers of juicy red fruits, ginger cake, and velvety baking spice.

Smoke Without Fire

A delicately smoky single malt and a proud addition to Lochlea’s core range. Evolving from our Ploughing Edition, this expression is matured in a combination of ex-peated refill Bourbon barrels and red wine casks, offering a beautifully balanced profile of soft red fruits, floral sweetness, and gentle bonfire smoke. This whisky captures the subtle complexity of peat influence without overpowering the spirit’s natural elegance.
